We are asking for you to help White Mountain Community Garden meet its worthwhile goals and objectives. All contributions are tax deductible, much needed, and greatly appreciated. White Mountain Community Garden received its exemption recognition as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with public charity status under 170(b)(1)(a)(VI) as set forth in the letter of determination from the Internal Revenue Service, dated April 5, 2012. WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THE 2013 SEASON
Cash donations are always welcome to help cover costs of insurance, postage, printing and copying, and educational materials & workshops.

Garden Infrastructure, Equipment, Tools & Supplies
  • Cold frames, 5
  • Fencing – perimeter 6’ tall field fencing, est. approx. 1500 feet, and fencing installation materials, including field posts & corner posts
  • Frost cloth
  • Garden carts, at least 1
  • Garden Shed, two, approx. 10’ x 12’ Wood storage buildings (to replace our metal storage sheds that are falling apart!)
  • Gates, 2 walk through and one drive through
  • Land plowing, berming and leveling, and mowing as needed
  • Materials for completion of additional raised beds: 60 cherry tone timbers (10 – 4x8 beds), and 80’ 1/2” rebar
  • Pathway coverings and weed cloth
  • Plant covers, 10 (Remay or similar woven covers)
  • Posts, Steel, 20 – 6-7’
  • Soil amendments and fertilizer: 1 pallet steer manure; 1 pallet Amend or similar soil amendment; 20 – 5 lb bags all purpose organic
  • fertilizer such as Nu-Tone; 10 - 5 lb bags Bone Meal; 10 - 5 lb bags Blood Meal
  • Steel concrete reinforcing, 10 – 42 x 84, 6”
  • Tools – additional tools for upkeep of communal areas: hoes, shovels, rakes (garden and leaf), cultivators, and various hand tools
  • Trees: Fruit: 12 semi dwarf – apple, peach, pear, cherry, etc; Wind Protection: 10 Austrian Pines
  • Water hoses, fittings, drip systems, etc.: 500’ 1/2” poly tubing; 250’ 1/4" tubing; 100 1/4” couplers, T’s; 100 2gph drippers; 100 micro
  • bubblers on stakes; 10 each 25 psi pressure reducers; 10 each 1/2” end caps; 20 each 1/2” T’s and L’s; 20 each 1/2” hose tp drip
  • connectors; 100 1/4” tubing stakes; 1 hole punch; 300 ft. soaker hose – T-type
  • Wheel barrows, 2
  • Whatever we could use in the garden, in workshops, administratively (i.e. printer ink…), in fundraisers (i.e. good raffle items)
