  • GUEST SPEAKER at the July 13 meeting: Chris Francis, On Duty Battalion Chief, Timber Mesa Fire & Medical District visited us with great information on the fire situation here.  His tips on the "Ready, Set, Go" Checklist that we should all follow were words of warning and wisdom.
  • NEW RESIDENTS: Lorraine McGhee discovered a family of skunks that live under the Yellow Shed.  She saw 3 baby skunks feasting on the beans on Sunday and they dove under the shed when approached.  If anyone has suggestions regarding the new residents, let us know.  So far, we haven't detected their presence...yet.
  • HARVESTS:  Rae and volunteers harvested garlic last week and it's trimmed and curing in the Blue Shed.  We are also harvesting beans and some onions and some eggplant.  The rains have given us a lot of water AND weeds.  Come out and help pull weeds, then take home some produce.
  • Ann says, "DO NOT PICK TOMATOES YET."
